1. Metallurgy Industry: In the casting of steel and aluminum alloys, foam ceramic filters serve to trap oxide inclusions and non-metallic particles within the molten metal, thereby reducing casting defects and improving yield rates. For instance, in aluminum alloy casting, filters with a pore size of 50–100 microns are commonly used, capable of handling flow rates ranging from 5 to 20 L/min.

Chemicals and Environmental Protection: Employed in wastewater treatment, gas purification, and as catalyst carriers, these filters effectively remove suspended solids, oil contaminants, and hazardous substances. For example, in the treatment of oil-bearing wastewater, filters with a pore size of 10–50 microns can achieve an oil droplet retention rate exceeding 90%.

 

3. Energy Sector: In the manufacturing of fuel cells and solar cells, they function as gas diffusion layers or electrolyte filtration media, thereby enhancing energy conversion efficiency.

 

4. Food and Pharmaceuticals: Utilized for the clarification and filtration of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, as well as for the sterilization of liquid pharmaceuticals, ensuring compliance with stringent sanitary standards.
