The "alumina-based" composition provides the ideal balance of performance and cost-effectiveness for aluminum filtration. It operates through combined mechanisms of depth filtration and cake filtration, ensuring the highest possible metal cleanliness.
Key Performance & Specifications
Construction: A sintered alumina (Al2O3) foam structure, known for its excellent thermal shock resistance and compatibility with molten aluminum.
Model DT-1 Performance: Offers high porosity (80-90%) for efficient inclusion capture while maintaining a competitive bulk density (0.35-0.55 g/cm³). Its application temperature is ≤1200°C.
Shape & Size Variety: Standard offerings include square and round shapes. We cater to all needs, from our common 50mm thick large-format filters to small, custom designs starting at 30mm in minimum dimension. Thicknesses of 10, 20, 22, 25, 30, 40, and 50mm are standard.
Selection Guide: Use the PPI (10-70) to control filtration fineness and the published melt speed ranges (e.g., 193-367 kg/min for 432x432mm) for system design.
